“Without music, life would be a mistake” ― Friedrich Nietzsche.
Music. It plays such a massive part of my life. My music taste is eclectic to say the least.
I was brought up listening to 70s classics. My mum and dads favourite bands. Singing along in the car when we went on holiday. I then had my favourites from the 80s and 90s…. Jason Donovan, Boyzone, East 17, Blur, Eminem… I would literally be here all day if I went through my list of favourite songs and could never pick a certain genre as ‘my fave’. I now love playing The Beatles and Bowie for Isaac. I hope he loves music as much as me… he already loves dancing! And AC/DC.
Music for me is about feeling. It can lift me out of the deepest funks, it can help me focus, it can help me switch off, it can evoke tears of sadness and of joy. It can bring back memories long forgotten. The opening few notes can send me to different places at different times.
Me and music. A love story that will never end.
“One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.” ― Bob Marley
